Hypnotherapy For Easy Weight Loss

People often ask me Why is the  Easy Weight Loss System so successful?

The simple answer is because it is completely unique to each individual client.

You know people are different even identical twins have some differences. so if this is the case how can a standard system work on everyone?

We use a fully flexible and unique methodology that combines Hypnotherapy and NLP among a number of other tools to make every session suit the person.

Different people have different weight problems, and equally those weight problems have various causes we treat everyone as an individual.

Some overeat emotionally, some make bad choices as to what to eat, some need to exercise, some picked up bad eating habits from childhood or the diet industry, some have body image problems…

We work with you and your issues.

on the basis you agree with that then let look at some common reasons why we are successful at what we do.

1) We will not try and sell you supplements and diet products.

The diet industry is continually looking to sell you product after product with new improved this and less fat, calories etc. We fundamentally disagree with this principle. Slim people don’t use those products so why should you.

2) We work out the main themes as to why you are overweight.

When you make an appointment we send you a questionnaire that starts to details your relationship with food, and the potential causes of you being over weight.  Over the years we have honed this to be really insightful and accurate. it tells us how you respond to differing situations.

This questionnaire gives us clues as to what we will be dealing with when we meet for the first and probably only time. Yes it’s all done in one session.

3) Is it a Emotional vs physiological eating pattern

Some people have never discovered he subtle difference between an emotional urge or need to eat and a physiological reason.  i have covered this element in more detail elsewhere in this blog, if you need anymore information feel free to contact me.
4) Specific advice based on your questionnaire and our discussion.

We ensure that together you and i come up with the strategies and hypnosis suggestions that are going to work for you. So for instance you have an urge to eat chocolate every evening we deal with that. if you find that you have to eat everything on your plate so that it’s clean then that’s what we deal with. and if you eat because you are bored or unhappy then we deal with that to.

5) we have to challenge our natural instincts

years ago food was scarce and only available in season. our ancestors didn’t know where the next meal was coming from and had to eat everything in  front of them as there was no certainity where or when the next meal would be available.

Today that’s just not the case. as i write this from my office in Central Milton Keynes i have within a 5 minute walk at least 15 food outlets and that’s counting all the vending machines. The supermarkets around me are open 24/7 and we can buy strawberries in January to December.

Today we don’t have to deal with the potential unavailability of food it’s quite the opposite. Lets not even get into the calorie rich foods that get churned out of the international corporations with the fancy packaging etc.

Anyway you get the picture everyone has their own reasons why they are overweight and i believe has to be treated in an individual way, in a nutshell that’s why we are successful at what we do.

Hope that helps answer some of your questions

Let em know if you need more information

Thanks

Emotional Eating

What is an emotional eater?

Under normal circumstances, a few minutes after birth, we are held by our mothers, feeling warmth, love, comfort and security. As we are being fed and gently rocked, our subconscious minds take this all in as a very nice situation to be in.

When you were young, it’s quite possible that you were rewarded with food for being good. If you hurt yourself or were upset, perhaps you were given some chocolate to ‘make you feel better’ or to “take your mind away from the trauma”.

These are all very pleasant feelings and the emotional eater attempts to recreate them as an adult by eating.

Most diets don’t deal with this issue and so people continue to eat when they are not hungry.

Most diets concentrate all their and your energy on “how much” you can or can’t eat, leaving the person feeling deprived.

A key to consistent and permanent weight loss is to ensure that you deal with your emotional eating and advanced hypnotherapy can help with this issue quickly.

If you are looking to lose weight quickly and easily in  very natural way without diets and meal plans or gunky shakes or pills off the Internet contact us today.

What is this drug called Champix (Varenicline)?

Filed under: Stop Smoking, Uncategorized — Tags: , , , , , , , — Howard the Hypnotherapist @ 12:10 am

What is this drug called Champix (Varenicline)?

Champix is a non nicotine drug that has been developed specifically for stopping smoking or smoking cessation and is only available on prescription from your GP. It is designed to block the rewards from, and reduce craving from cigarette smoking. Thats the theory anyway. Its a 12 week course begins while you are still smoking with a two week starter pack. Before you start your course of treatment you should decide on a date in the second week – usually between day 8 and day 14 when you will stop smoking. it’s a bit like Zyban and in fact i am not qualifed to state the difference, but my views on Zyban have been stated before so just search or just ask and i will let you have them.

Please research the drug before you take it and DO NOT buy it online it really is not safe to do so.

Take care

What is this drug called Zyban?

What is this drug called Zyban (Bupropion)?

This is a non-nicotine stop-smoking aid that works by reducing the urge to smoke and is only available on prescription from you GP. Your GP will be able to assess whether you have any conditions, or are taking any other medication, which could make it an unsuitable treatment option for you. side effects are rather numerous and include death which for me is a side effect too far.

Zyban is an eight week course that comes in tablet form and treatment begins while you are still smoking. You set a stop smoking date that falls within the second week of taking the tablets – usually around Day 11 and stop smoking completely on that day. By this time, the drug should have built up to the required levels and decreasing your desire to smoke.

Quite what happens when you stop smoking i don’t know as you will have stopped taking the drug as well.

if you are being offered this drug please please look up the data and the history of it. of course stopping smoking is great for your health but is taking a mind altering drug they only way to do it.

I will have to let you decide.

If you would like to discuss stopping smoking in a better way please feel free to conact us you know where we are…

If you are thinking about Stopping smoking then have you ever wondered…

When smokers think about quitting smoking they may think about what it is they are trying to deal with or stop. A question I often get asked is (depending on how easy or hard people find it to stop smoking ) whether smoking is a habit or an addiction.

If you were to ask smoker or non smokers alike? “Is it more difficult to stop – a habit or an addiction?”, you would no doubt get a majority saying that an addiction is far harder to stop. In fact calling something that we get an urge to do, an addiction, can rob us of our power. It is like saying ‘I can’t stop because I am addicted to smoking’ or ‘I can’t stop because I am not in the smoking is control’. Any addiction will have people believing that they have little or no control. This is part of the issue with stopping smoking. If smoking is viewed as a total addiction, and have accepted the above perception of an addiction, then you have now made quitting smoking much harder in your mind.

What is Addiction?

Addiction is quite a general term. There can be different types of addiction such as a physical or a psychological addiction.
A physical addiction is when the body craves for something.
A psychological addiction is when the mind believes it wants or needs something.

Now, coming back to stopping smoking, is it a physical or psychological addiction, both or something else? This area has many differing opinions. After all with over 4,500 chemicals entering the body with any single puff it would seem logical to assume that there must be some physical addiction. Yet when sleeping for 6 to 8 hours everynight and then waking up in the morning the vast majority of smokers will NOT smoke in between and most now won’t smoke immediately upon waking.
First they may have breakfast, or wash, or have a cup of coffee first before lighting up, or light up as the kettle is boiling to have that first cigarette of the day. If smoking really was a 100% physical addiction then surely the body having been without those 4,500 chemicals during sleep would be craving for a cigarette so much that the smoker would have to light up immediately. However in almost all the case of the hundreds of people I see and have seen over the years this just this does not happen.

Every airline I know has a full non-smoking policy even most airports have an exclusion zone which is only going to get bigger with time. Not get news is you are going on holiday what a way to start it.. anyway some fights might last for 12-14 hours or more with waiting time. Most travellers are fine on a plane and this would be impossible is smoking cigarettes was a 100% physical addiction. What do you think? Does this make sense to you or do you think your experience is different to the above?
.

So is smoking a physical addiction a physiological or something else?
Let me know your thoughts.

Smoking and the Effects on Pets.

Passive Smoking and Pets

As pet owners, we spend a lot of time trying to keep our pets fit and healthy. However, although we constantly worry about the food we are giving our pets or the amount of exercise they are getting, how often do we consider that they may suffer from a fatal disease by our own hand, if it contains a cigarette.
There have been very few studies on the effects of passive smoking on animals. However this month, Dr Anthony Moore from Tufts University in Massachusetts has revealed that living in a house with smokers considerably increases a cat or dog’s risk of getting feline or canine lymphoma. Mr Moore hopes new research linking second-hand smoke exposure to the most common kind of cancer in pets, will encourage some people to kick the habit. ”I think there are a lot of people who might not quit smoking for themselves or their family. But they might for their cats and dogs,” he adds hopefully.
Although there is scepticism about the research, it makes sense that if your pet is subjected to smoke fumes in the house, their respiratory system could feel the repercussions. Some vets have suggested that smoke becomes quite concentrated at a lower level and have highlighted these figures when arguing for the plight of our pets. Only 15 per cent of cigarette smoke is actually inhaled by the smoker. The rest is dispersed into the atmosphere exposing pets to over 400 toxins. This smoke includes over 40 known cancer-causing substances, as well as carbon monoxide.
One dog owner, who thought about the long-term effects on her pet, was Shirley Beardsworth, owner of Crufts Lifetime Member, Cocker Spaniel Meg Beardsworth. After deciding to give up smoking she realised that, not only was she putting herself at risk, her dog was at risk too. “My dog, Meg, used to sneeze and run out of the room whenever I lit up a cigarette,” she recalls, “but since I have given up smoking she is extremely fit. She’s still winning dog championships and even beating dogs younger than herself.”
Recent research has also demonstrated that cigarette smoke is related to other health-related illnesses in pets, such as asthma. Studies have found that exposure to environmental tobacco smoke is also linked to nasal and sinus cancer in pet dogs. Constant exposure to cigarette smoke is certainly not going to make your pet fitter, healthier or happier. In a perfect environment, an animal should not come into contact with any cigarette smoke, so why not go outside to have a cigarette. Better still, for the sake of you and your pet’s health, give up smoking altogether!

Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss

Finally a weight management programme will change your life!

Using the very latest in mind/body psychology I  help clients learn how to bring more balance into their lives, creating a purpose and direction for them to move towards… Be prepared for amazing changes in your life!

I have developed this successful programme  over the  past 6 years (2003) and have helped many hundreds of people lose weight effortlessly.

Many people look at overweight people and think they are greedy have no willpower, or that their appearance is due to lack of knowledge or ignorance. Being overweight, at least significantly so, is almost never just a matter of not knowing better; it’s far more complicated than that. and in my experience people who are overweight know a lot about what they should be eating.

There are often psychological problems associated with obesity – depression, lack of confidence, low self esteem etc. Most psychological problems are resolved naturally once the weight has been lost. Often the anxiety and frustrations that cause people to over eat stem from being over weight… it’s a vicious circle.

Dieting in the UK and worldwide is a multi billion pound business. There are literally  thousands of diet books, videos, food substitutes, weight loss drugs and weight loss clubs.

The trouble is all these treatments rely on willpower, which is why they usually fail! If you have had enough of all those diets that have found that they just don’t work for you in the long term…call us now for a revolution that will change your mind…and change your behaviour so that you too will become slimmer, have greater confidence and have many more choice in what you want to do and wear etc.

A common misconception surrounding weight loss is that you need a lot of willpower to succeed. Willpower however doesn’t really exist, behaviour that gives the appearance that a person has willpower, is simply behaviour allowed by the unconscious mind because it agrees with the conscious desire.

Generally if someone succeeds in losing weight using willpower alone, as soon as the weight is lost, they resume back to their old eating patterns and re-gain all the lost weight. Another common problem when using willpower alone is that as soon as other things occupy your mind, or the main goal is removed i.e. losing weight for a special occasion or slimming for a holiday, or an crisis arises, people have a tendency to slip back into their old habits. This compounds the problem because of the added disillusionment and discouragement. Something more efficient and permanent than willpower is needed to enable clients to stick to their new healthy eating regime.

So How does Hypnosis for weight loss help?

Hypnosis bypasses willpower and changes the way the unconscious mind thinks. This allows eating healthily and smaller portion sizes becomes effortless.

This works by utilising the same psychological principles you employ when mastering a new skill. If you are not able to imagine that you are going to be successful, then you are defeated before you begin. This is what happens when people undertake diets having previously failed many times before. No amount of willpower can surmount this feeling of negative history of failed diets.

Every successful person has had to be capable of visualising himself/herself as a success long before it becomes a reality. A doctor, for example, could not undertake many years of study unless he/she was first able to ’see him/herself as a doctor. Any successful person achieves their goals by overcoming handicaps, which defeated those people who were less motivated.

Unfortunately, all negative opinions – true or not – filter into your unconscious mind, which does not question or analyse the many impressions it receives. People become so convinced that they are incapable of the strength necessary to maintain a diet that they eventually stop mentally picturing a healthy/more attractive body. Using advanced hypnosis to create a positive self image is the key that open the door to a slimmer you. Once a proper self image is generated people find they have the conviction to easily stick to a healthy eating plan.

It is the role of the Hypnotherapist/coach to determine the most suitable treatment for each individual client but the following are examples of some of the benefits clients gain from hypnotherapy:

* Removes the desire to overeat
* Forms a positive self image
* Produces stronger feelings of strength and determination
* Improves self esteem, confidence and positive thinking
* Improves stress levels
* Occasionally weight gain is caused by a past event, uncovering this can help

Sometimes hypnotherapy uncovers secondary gains (reasons to remain overweight) and replacing weight gain with something more beneficial can help.

So with Advanced Hypnotherapy there are no diets, gunky shakes or pills off the Internet. No meal plans, potions to weight or calories to count.

You just get to eat the food that you want to eat but smaller portions, much much smaller potions.

Feel free to contact me if you truly want success…i can help get to where you want to get to easily.

Thanks for takingthe time to read this

A Little Note On Hypnosis.

Eliminate Bad Habits, Build Self Confidence, Lose Weight Stop Smoking and Much Much More
How safe is Hypnosis and What is it?
Hypnosis is a natural safe state of mind that you spontaneously experience many times a day. For instance, you are in hypnosis when:
• You find yourself day dreaming.
• You are driving on a road and you find yourself so focused in something in your mind that you missed your exit, or you arrived home not remembering every turn and manoeuvre you made to get there.
• You are watching a film and you are crying or getting scared or having any kind or emotions related to it.
• You are looking for an object which is within sight r but you can not see it.
• Hypnosis is safe, over 200 years of experience in the Western World and there have been no cases of someone hurt by hypnosis. The British Medical Association accepted and recognised hypnosis in 1959.
All Hypnosis is fundamentally Self-Hypnosis as one of the real pioneers of modern Hypnosis Dr. Milton Erickson stated many years ago. Hypnosis is defined as a state of heightened suggestibility and you must be willing to follow the suggestions or there is no so-called trance state. Only you decide when you go in hypnosis and no one has the power hypnotise you against your will! Your hypnotherapist is simply a guide who helps you use these human abilities to make the changes that you want. For example, breaking bad habits, overeating, smoking, etc…

Myths About Hypnosis

Myths about Hypnosis
A hypnotherapist has magical powers: Myth
This is completely false. A hypnotherapist is an ordinary human being. Just as in any other profession there are good and unfortunately poorer or just inexperienced hypnotherapists. We recommend that if the issue you want to deal with is important to you than you choose carefully. Our advice is simply this: If for any reason you feel in any way uncomfortable with the hypnotherapist than you must terminate the session before therapy begins.
You can be hypnotised and do things against your will: Myth
Absolutely false. Nobody can be hypnotised against their will. You must be 100% cooperative in order to be hypnotised. Under Hypnosis you can choose to accept or reject any suggestions given to you by the hypnotherapist.
Only weak minded people can be hypnotised: False.
In fact the opposite is true. The more intelligent you are the easier it is to be successfully in hypnosis. Unfortunately in certain cases of mental debility, hypnosis is not possible. You can be hypnotised only if you want to be AND agree. Advanced Hypnosis can help you make all the changes you want quickly, easily and permanently.
Under hypnosis you are unconscious: Myth
Not true at all. Under Hypnosis you are awake, completely aware and also very relaxed. Even people who find it normally difficult to relax find it very easy once shown how.
You can get stuck in Hypnosis: Myth
Completely false. Even if the hypnotherapist dropped dead after putting you in deep Hypnosis, you will either open your eyes after not hearing his voice for a while or you will slip into a brief sleep and awaken normally.
Advanced Hypnotherapy means that you are aware and you stay in control at all times.

We only practice from professional city centre offices for your peace of mind.
